Quezon Island Hopping Trip

Borawan trip was a tremendous travel for me. Because it was the first time again that dudes and dudettes get together even though were not completed but then again we still get in touch with each other. It is also the birthday of our friend Mylene and we got to grab hold of the summer season also. Our destination was Borawan means it’s the combination of BORAcay and PalaWAN it is situated in Pagbilao Quezon one of the Quezon’s pride.

It was on May 7 that we planned our Borawan trip. May 8, 2010 at 2am it’s also the birthday of Mylene we rode a bus in the Ayala LRT terminal the Jac liner bu s in Pasay. We traveled around four hours from Pasay to Grand Terminal in Quezon. The travel was fine enough because less traffic and we rested and fell asleep to have more vigor when we get to our destination.

We should get around 7am because it was the first trip of the mini bus from Grand Terminal to Pagbilao Quezon. We arrived at the Grand Terminal around 6am in the morning their we take our breakfast in Jollibee and celebrate quite the birthday of our good friend Mylene. Chai and I buy cake from Goldilocks to surprise her.

After our breakfast and the cake blowing we rode on the the bus to catch the first trip to Pabilao it was around two hours travel from Grand Terminal to Pagbilao. From Pagbilao Kuya Urong was waiting for us our Island tour guide. From Pagbilao we ride a tricycle to reach the pier of Pagbilao where Kuya Urong was waiting. From pier we ride a small banca of Kuya urong the capacity of the banca is around eight persons and we are five, Joel, Charlie, Mylene, Chai and Me. From pier you can see the beauty of  Padre Burgos you will be amazed of the scene, the water and the place. It looks like Boracay Pier and must say that the water is clearer than BoracayJOn our way to Borawan we’ve seen other islands situated their we are very astonished of the place. The water is clearly green and blue from down their you can see the sea creature. We are provided by Kuya Urong a life vests each one of us.  First Joel is quite afraid of the banca. But eventually the fear gone he enjoyed taking picture of the island. The wave was not to strong that time maybe it summer season. Our first destination was the Borawan we arrived at the place past 10am.

When we got their we place our things on the cottage. The cottage has rent on a reasonable price. But don’t expect to see a civilized CR in the island from our cottage we change our clothes because we are very much excited to tour the island. And of course Joel capture again the moment of the Island. It was very much peaceful in the island mainly it was not crowded the island brings a comforting feeling and a tranquilizing place.

We tour the island, we enjoy swimming in the island the water was so cool, the sand was not prettier fine like Boracay but it is quite white sand and finer like other beaches. The stone surrounds the island and the rock formations seem like in Palawan structures.
Mid lunch time we feel starving for food. Kuya Urong brings us to our small house near their place where we stay for overnight. We eat our packed lunch which Joel cook for us the pork adobo. We have also other food that we bring some canned goods and hotdogs, we also have the cake of Mylene, chips and candies. From the island you can also bought a soda in their place in a rational price. The cottage that Kuya Urong provides for us is widely open near the shore line and we very much thankful for it. The view from our cottage was very much marvelous. The blue clear water that hits the fine white sands in the island we named the island URO’s Island. It’s definitely a calming place to be withJ after lunch we rested a while taking some pictures and capturing the moments of the Uro’s IslandJ

After resting Kuya Uro bring us to Dampalitan Island and adjacent to that is the Lipata Island we just tour the Island but compare to Uro’s Island we choose Uro Island to stay and to swim. Dampalitan have fences for safety purposes just take care of the rocks stone in the island and some of the jelly fishes. After spending quite time we returned to Borawan which I think the main attraction in the Island their we spent the time for swimming and enjoying the place with other island adventurer.

Past 4pm we get back to Uro’s Island to washed up and prepare for our dinner earlier because mainly in the island it has no electricity we just have a flash light a candle a matches and a lighter. We washed up in the well it’s a great adventure for us guys to take a bath in the well in the forest with carabao on the sideJ after taking a bath we went to their small market and luckily we have bought fishes fresh from the sea from their fisherman the price was so affordable we bought almost one kilo of fishes and we grilled it. Kuya uro prepared the rice for us and we made an us  bonfire while we are grilling the fishJ it feels like we are a survivor in an island. After cooking and grilling we have eaten our sumptuous dinner after dinner Joel capture the night in the island. After that we slept earlier for early adventure the next day:)

The next day we wake up early in the morning we take a walk in the shore to experience the sunrise in the island the air was so soothing.  Around 6am we take our breakfast and get ready for the Puting Buhangin Island Adventure and the Kwebang Lampas. It takes 45 minutes to travel from Uro Island. It has a strong current going their but in the mid of the travel the sailing was good the wave goes with us we enjoy the island trip to Puting Buhangin.

We then went Kwebang Lampas which is located on a southwestern cove of Pagbilao Grande Island in Quezon.  When we heard about Kwebang Lampas and decided to take a look at it, we were simply expecting to see this "nice" cave with sea water on its floor as the local folks described it.   We had no idea we were going to one of the most scenic beaches we have yet seen within the mainland of Luzon.   So, whether you are interested in caves and geological formations, or you are an avid lover of white sand beaches, you are going to love this place.

Going to the cave you will pass on the rock formation and in between the water. But if you are a great swimmer you can swim from the shore to the cave. After sacrificing a minutes to go their its an award to reach the cave. The water inside the cave was so much fresh and unambiguous. The current that hit the rocks of the cave that making music makes you fell cheering. It seems that the nature is talking to you. The bounce back effect of the cave makes you unwind.

Spending an half hour in the cave is enough for us guys. Past 11am we went back to Uro’s island. We take our lunch and We get ready ourselves and packed up to back in Manila. We left something for Kuya Uro’s family for the good deeds they have showed to us we are fully thankful for what they have done to us. We really get pleasure from our stay in the island. If you want to visit the place soon just find Kuya Uro their they will gratefully assist you.
